Dr. Hall also holds the title of Chancellor at Palmer Seminary's parent institution, Eastern University. He has served in the pastorate overseas (in France, for 5 years) and in Canada (British Columbia, for 2 years). He served as Director of Pastoral Care at New Jersey's only state gero-psychiatric hospital and has ministered in Asia, Africa, South America, Europe, the Middle-East, and Canada in addition to the United States.
Dr. Hall is the author or editor of numerous books, including

Ancient Christian Texts: Homilies on Numbers - Origen, with Thomas P. Sheck (IVP, 2009). Dr. Hall also served as the associate editor of the 29-volume
Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture (ACCS).
He co-authored (with Dr. David Fraser)
Making Room for God: Spiritual Formation for Christian Leaders (The Center for Organizational Excellence, Eastern College, 1997), a modularized audio and print curriculum recently adopted by the Christian College Coalition.
Chris serves as a member of the editorial council for Christianity Today. In addition to books, he has written numerous articles and reviews for Christianity Today, Catalyst, Christian History, inMinistry, Books and Culture, Christian Scholars Review, Modern Theology, and Crux.
Dr. Hall is a member of the Episcopal Church. He and his wife, Debbie, have three grown children: Nathan, Nathalie, and Joshua.
