Pentecost Celebrations (Starting 5-11)
May 07, 2010 -Palmer Seminary and the Clergy of Philadelphia are partnering to offer three Pentecost worship experiences during the month of May. The Pentecost Citywide Prayer Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 11, from 7:30-9 p.m. at New Covenant Church of Philadelphia, 7500 Germantown Ave.
The Pentecost Lecture Service will be held on Saturday, May 15, from 1-4 p.m. at Sanctuary Church of the Open Door, 5923-41 Walnut St. The lecturer is Rev. Dr. William J. Shaw, Pastor of White Rock Baptist Church in Philadelphia.
Finally, a Pentecost Worship Service is set for Sunday, May 23, from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel at Palmer Seminary. The preacher for the service is Bishop Donald Hilliard, Pastor of Cathedral International in Perth Amboy, NJ.
All events are free and open to the public.
