Palmer Seminary has welcomed one of its own, 2010 alumna Tiffany S. Murphy, as its new Director of Admissions. Ms. Murphy brings to Palmer both professional and ministry experience. She currently serves as an Associate Minister at Mount Olivet Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia.
Prior to joining the Palmer staff, she was the Admissions Manager at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. She also worked for six years as Assistant Director of Admissions at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
"I'm excited about this new journey," said Tiffany on her arrival. "Palmer was great in helping me uncover and mature my ministry gifts. Now I will get to help others discover what God has for them." She adds, "One of my favorite Scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11, states, 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
Tiffany, who is also enrolled in the Seminary's Doctor of Ministry program, replaces fellow Palmer alum Alexander Houston. Alex will however remain at the Seminary, having accepted a part-time role in the Eastern University Development Office. He also serves as pastor at the Cohansey Baptist Church in Bridgeton, NJ.
