Mary Beth McCloy

Adjunct Faculty, Master of Divinity


Dr. McCloy was called into the ministry as a teenager and has served in a wide variety of ministry roles for the last 30 years.  She has taught all ages and levels from preschool to master’s degree. She has also served as a guest lecturer at the Seminario Teologico Bautista in Cochabamba, Bolivia.  In addition to teaching with Palmer, she serves as a dean and teacher with the WVBC School of Christian Studies and as Pastor with Mount Zion Baptist Church. While in college, she received the Annie E. King Pre-Ministerial Award.  At Southern, she won the Borchert Biblical Studies Award and the Clyde Francisco Preaching Award.  

Dr. McCloy and her husband Mark have four children.  In her spare time, Dr. McCloy enjoys travel and photography.
