Christians for Social Action (CSA) recently helped catalyze major conversations on Christian formation, justice, and public witness across several national platforms.
At this year’s CCDA conference, CSA hosted two significant gatherings. More than 125 people attended a Storytellers Collective song-share with Common Hymnal — an evening of prayerful, restorative music. Earlier that day, CSA’s Racial Justice Institute (RJI) led a fully enrolled pre-conference training with Andre Henry, drawing 50 participants who explored practical tools for faithful, transformative social change. Together, these events highlighted Eastern University’s commitment to equipping thoughtful Christian leaders for justice and hope.
CSA also partnered with Busboys & Poets in Washington, DC to present Reclaiming Christian Credibility, a standing-room-only public conversation on faith, justice, and the future of Christian witness. Leaders including Jemar Tisby, Mark Labberton, Brianna Parker, Adam Taylor, Eugene Cho, and Delonte Gholston offered a candid, hopeful dialogue on recovering moral clarity and gospel integrity. The sold-out event featured songs by Common Hymnal that will be released through CSA’s Storytellers Collective.
Additionally, RJI released Project Confrontation: How a Band of Black Churches Desegregated America’s Most Racist City, a new field guide by Andre Henry and partner pastors and organizers. Inspired by the historic Anniston desegregation campaign, the resource equips churches and leaders with practical steps for moving from passion to sustained action.
