Wesley Johnson II

Wesley A. Johnson II joined the Palmer Theological Seminary staff and Eastern University faculty in 2024 after serving as a divisional training coordinator for an international Christian youth organization. Driven by a deep passion for pastors, leaders, justice, and supporting the most vulnerable, he has served as both a pastor and church planter. Wes holds an AS in Early Childhood Development, a BA in Biblical Studies, an MA in Organizational Leadership, and certification as a Spiritual Life Coach, along with a General Baptist ordination with the National/Progressive National Baptist Convention.

Throughout his career, Wes has held impactful leadership roles in historic civil rights and local religious organizations, receiving numerous awards, including his proudest recognition as Father of the Year by the CT Fatherhood Initiative at the Dads Matter Too Conference. He is also the published author of Soulful Reflections: Navigating Black Male Pangs, a Pathway to Self-Discovery, a journal for Black males exploring self-discovery and personal growth.

Married for 30 years and father to four young adult children, Wes brings to his work a foundation of faith, family, and a commitment to nurturing growth in others.
