McDonald Ford is a lifelong Pennsylvanian resident. He was raised in a Christian home and regularly attended worship with his family. McDonald embraces his Christian faith and seeks opportunities to serve God’s people and the community. He served as worship leader, youth president, and Sunday School administrator. McDonald enrolled in Palmer Theological Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity in 2023. After a brief break, he decided to further his education by enrolling in Palmer Theological Seminary’s Doctorate of Ministry program, which commences in Fall 2025.

McDonald leads a neighborhood transformation program in West Philadelphia. He is committed to implementing Jesus's model: touch and build the community. The transformation project included five residential units, a parking facility, a new worship center, and senior housing. Palmer Theological Seminary.

McDonald is married to Elisa, and they have raised eight kids. They have five grandsons.  McDonald enjoys cycling and spending time barbecuing and smoking meats.
